Manchester City resume domestic matters by hosting Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's side have endured a rocky time of late, although bounced back from two successive defeats to win twice heading into the international break.

The first of those came in the Champions League as the Cityzens beat Club Brugge 4-1, before comfortably beating Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Aiming to keep second spot in the table, they face an Everton side who have failed to win in their last five Premier League fixtures, losing three of those. Here's who Guardiola could opt to field to overcome Sunday's opposition.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Ederson (GK) - Won't have a lot of rest time before Sunday's game but the same goes for Zack Steffen, so the Brazilian should be set for a start.

Kyle Walker (RB) - Didn't feature in England's 10-0 win over San Marino, so should be raring to go for the visit of Everton.

Ruben Dias (CB) - Has started all but one of City's Premier League fixtures so far this campaign, and is a certainty to feature at the heart of that back line.

Aymeric Laporte (CB) - John Stones performed well in the Manchester derby but Guardiola will likely side with Laporte - who is now back from suspension - to partner Dias, having done so for the majority of the season.

Joao Cancelo (LB) - Has continued his stunning form from last campaign and, with four assists in his previous two appearances, is a shoo-in to play on Sunday.

2. Midfielders

Rodri (DM) - Having started each of the last six Premier League games, Rodri will certainly be that unflappable hoover at the base of Guardiola's midfield.

Ilkay Gundogan (CM) - Scored three times in 124 minutes for Germany over the break, so don't bet against him finding the net on Sunday.

Bernardo Silva (CM) - Set to make his 11th consecutive Premier League start. It is an incredible turnaround after squad rotation over the last two seasons left him frustrated and eyeing an exit.

3. Forwards

Gabriel Jesus (RW) - Didn't have the most exciting break with Brazil but will be keen to get back to top form at club level. Aiming to build on his two goals and five assists in the Premier League thus far.

Phil Foden (CF) - Has been in a good vein of form this term, currently boasting nine goal involvements in 13 appearances for City. Will need a late assessment because a knock while away with England.

Raheem Sterling (LW) - The enforced absence of Kevin De Bruyne after testing positive for COVID-19 and the associated reshuffle could mean a chance for the England winger to come back in.
