'Red Dead Redemption 2' Player Turns Story Into Book So Their Dad Can Enjoy It

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredible game that manages to combine a vast, detailed open-world with an unforgettable story. Arthur Morgan's journey through an America that no longer has any use for folk like him is heartbreaking stuff, expertly told by Rockstar Games.

Sadly, not everyone is as able to enjoy video games as you or I. While I would always encourage older gamers to pick up a controller and play - many do - it can be daunting. We take for granted just how complicated modern games are, and not everyone has the time to learn.

That's why one thoughtful Reddit user (whose username I can't share here for reasons you'll understand when you click the link) has decided to turn the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 into a book so that their dad can experience it in all its glory. They shared the first few pages over on Reddit too, and it's pretty damn good!

The author has made the inspired decision to frame this re-telling of Red Dead Redemption 2 from the perspective of John Marston. It is, essentially, John's memories of Arthur, Dutch, and everything else that happened before Red Dead Redemption. I would honestly love to read the whole thing when it's finished, so I really hope this ambitious project gets seen through to the very end.

Take a look for yourself below.

In other news, Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive confirmed recently that Red Dead Redemption 3 is definitely coming. Just don't expect it for a while.
