Sifu is now launching earlier in February to avoid blockbuster releases like Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring.

Sifu, PlayStation console exclusive fighting title from developer Sloclap, is moving its release date up by two weeks to February 8, 2022.

This seems like a pretty reasonable move from the developers. The original release date would put Sifu alongside the two biggest 2022 releases in Elden Ring and Horizon: Forbidden West.

The delay will mean Sifu is now launching before these action titles from From Software and Guerilla Games, respectively.

To celebrate the announcement of an early release date, the developers shared a new trailer and additional details about how exactly the combat, dying and ageing work in the game.

Additionally, you can take a look at both Standard and the Deluxe Edition of the game.

Check out one of the trailers below.

All in all, it's safe to say that Sifu looks like one of those hidden gems and we will definitely be playing it, even though it's launching in the packed February 2022.

Sifu is coming as a PlayStation console exclusive to PS4 and PS5 as well as PC. Other platforms are yet to be confirmed by the devs but we expect to hear more about this in a couple of months when the potential exclusivity deal with PlayStation expires.
