After what looked to be a promising start to the season, the Atlanta Falcons are doing… uh, not great. To say they've been struggling to score is a huge understatement. They seem to have forgotten how to score… literally.

In a bizarre turn of events, a seemingly decent Falcons offense has did a complete 180 and have lost all semblance of any offense. Their shutout loss to the surging New England Patriots prolonged an embarrassing streak on offense. (via FOX Sports: NFL)

In their last two games against the Cowboys and the Patriots, the Falcons have only mustered up a single score: a field goal in the first quarter against the Cowboys. That means they have gone eight straight quarters without a touchdown… and seven straight quarters without scoring any points. This has got to be a new low for Matt Ryan and the Falcons, who seemed to be doing well enough to start the season.

To be fair, they ran into the buzz saw that was Micah Parsons and the Cowboys defense. Against the Patriots, though, the Falcons just fell apart. They could only muster 165 yards the entire game, including four interceptions on THREE different quarterbacks. This, along with four sacks, was what completely killed Ryan and the Falcons.

As for the Patriots, well… they've been killing it lately. Aside from the Falcons, they have brutalized the Jets, Chargers, Browns, and the Panthers. Their true test will come next week, though, as they will host the Tennessee Titans, who have been on a roll despite missing star Derrick Henry.

The Falcons can surely bounce back from this embarrassment. Perhaps they can blame this loss on the moon trolling them tonight…
