Bam Adebayo has a close personal relationship with Dwyane Wade. During Wade's last few years with the Miami Heat, he bonded with the then-rookie Adebayo. The two have kept their brotherhood even after Wade's retirement from basketball. After a big win over the surging Washington Wizards, Adebayo and Wade once again displayed their close relationship with each other.

During the post-game interview, the reporter mentioned to Adebado that Wade was in the building. Immediately, the Heat All-Star perked up, looking for his mentor and friend. He darted off and found Wade in the middle of the interview, sharing a heartfelt moment with each other.

Afterwards, Adebayo was asked how much did Wade's encouragement meant to him. The Heat center replied:

“It's motivation… you see what these guys done for the city, for the organization. You looking to fill those footsteps.”

Adebayo has missed a few games for the Heat this season due to a nagging knee injury, but he came back in a big way against the Wizards. He posted 20 points on his usual efficiency along with 9 rebounds and 2 assists, as they took a win off of the league-leading Wizards. Surely, Wade's presence on the sidelines helped motivate Adebayo to perform at his best.

As for Wade, he has always been one of Adebayo's biggest supporters from the sideline. During Bam's breakout season in the '19-'20 season, the Heat legend led the call for the big man to be an All-Star that season. He's continued his support for one of his rookies as the years went by, which is heartwarming to see.
