Doctor Who: Flux spoilers follow.
The BBC has lifted the lid on the (until now) top-secret Doctor Who: Flux series finale.
The Doctor, Yaz, Dan and Vinder have dashed across time and space trying to put out fires from the Sontarans, Weeping Angels, Cybermen and sinister siblings Swarm and Azure all in hopes of stopping an apocalyptic Flux.
But in episode six, 'The Vanquishers', on December 5, it looks like time may finally be up for The Doctor as evil consumes any and all realities at once.
Here's the official synopsis for 'The Vanquishers': "In the final epic chapter in the story of the Flux, all hope is lost. The forces of darkness are in control. But when the monsters have won, who can you count upon to save the universe?"
On top of the TARDIS team, the BBC has confirmed that Rochenda Sandall and Sam Spruell will return as those evil siblings Azure and Swarm to make The Doctor's life miserable.
The Letter for the King's Thaddea Graham will return as Bel, the traveller who'd escaped both the Cybermen and Daleks to find love with Vinder before they were separated by the Flux.
Pirates of the Caribbean star Kevin McNally rounds out the cast as Professor Jericho – and The Doctor will probably need the help of all the available professors to stop the flux!
The BBC rounds off the cast with The End of the F***ing World's Steve Oram returning as Joseph from 'Once, Upon Time', but the previous episodes definitely have us expecting some more surprises.
'The Vanquishers' has been written by showrunner Chris Chibnall, and directed by Azhur Saleem after splitting the Flux episodes with Jamie Magnus Stone.
Doctor Who: Flux (aka series 13) airs weekly every Sunday night on BBC One in the UK. In the US, the show airs on BBC America, with series 1-12 available on HBO Max.
