Three Boston Red Sox players received points in the 2021 AL MVP voting.
Rafael Devers (28 points) finished 11th. Xander Bogaerts (7 points) tied for 12th with Bo Bichette.
Nathan Eovaldi (4 points) finished tied for 15th with Robbie Ray and Gerrit Cole. Those were the only three pitchers to receive votes.
Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani was the unanimous winner, receiving all 30 first-place votes.
Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Marcus Semien finished second and third. Aaron Judge placed fourth and Carlos Correa fifth.
Devers received one fifth-place vote, two sixth-place votes, one seventh-place vote and eight 10th-place votes.
Bogaerts received two ninth-place votes and three 10th-place votes.
Eovaldi — who finished fourth in the AL Cy Young voting — received one seventh-place vote.
