Instagram Lets You Rage Shake Your Phone To Report App Issues

Have you ever been so mad at an app not functioning the way you want that you shake your phone in rage? It turns out that Instagram wants to leverage that kind of behavior because according to the company’s CEO Adam Mosseri, they are introducing a new rage shake feature to the app.

Basically what happens is that if you ever encounter an issue with the app, all you need to do is shake your phone angrily and you’ll be prompted if there is something wrong. You can then follow the instructions on the screen to report the problem to Instagram. Whether or not your issue will get addressed remains to be seen, but it’s one way to report an app problem if you encounter any issues.

That being said, Instagram is definitely not the first to introduce such a feature. Meta-owned Facebook also has a similar feature where users can shake their phones to report a problem with the app. Snapchat also has a similar feature, so like we said, Instagram isn’t the first to utilize this type of gesture.

At the moment, this feature is only available in the US, and for those in the US it should already be live in both the iOS and Android app, so make sure you have the latest version of the app if you want to make use of it.
