Last month, Lexus lifted the wraps off the all-new 2022 Lexus LX 600. Boasting bolder styling, a more luxurious interior, and a new twin-turbo V6 engine, Lexus's new flagship SUV will arrive in dealers in early 2022 but you can see the luxury barge in the metal at the LA Auto Show. This isn't the SUV's American debut, however, as it made its first public appearance at the SEMA show earlier this month.

At the show, Lexus is showcasing the LX 600 in Ultra Luxury and F Sport trims. Trust us, it looks massive in the metal and the new gargantuan grille is imposing. Topping the range, the new Ultra Luxury trim only has four seats instead of seven, with rear captain's chairs providing a VIP-style seating experience.

The F-Sport trim on the other hand, available on the LX for the first time, includes a unique 22-inch forged aluminum wheels, an F mesh-design spindle grille, and jet-black chrome accents, giving the LX a sportier look. The F Sport is also available in an exclusive Ultra White color.

Under the hood, the Lexus has ditched the old model's V8 in favor of a new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Underpinning the LX is the same GA-F platform as the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series, which is not sold in America.

Inside, the LX is equipped with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen as standard with a new Human Machine Interface that includes a new voice assistant with natural speech recognition, along with a seven-inch lower screen. You can experience the new multimedia system for yourself using a Lexus Interface simulator at the booth.

Also on display at the Lexus stand is the new 2022 Lexus NX. Riding on a new platform, the 2022 NX is longer, wider, and taller, providing more passenger and cargo space. New engine options include a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine rated at 275 hp and a plug-in hybrid with an estimated 36-mile electric range.
