GOSHEN — In Daniel Mast’s first season as Bethany Christian boys basketball coach, the Bruins jumped to six wins, which was twice as many as the program produced in either of the previous two seasons, and at least two more than Bethany managed in any of the preceding seven.

Then came an even heartier hop last season, up to 10 victories, the Bruins’ most since securing that same figure in 2011-12.
