halo infinite xp

Halo Infinite‘s stealth beta launch for its multiplayer component was highly popular amongs a ton of players, but its overall progression for the Season 1 Battle Pass has been criticized. However, it would appear that 343 Industries is listening intently to player feedback, as it was announced that Halo Infinite matchmade games now award XP, something that was not present in its first iteration. Check out details on this as well as additional changes for the XP system below.

The XP changes for Halo Infinite were detailed on Twitter, where Halo Support split it into four parts:

#HaloInfinite players can now earn XP by completing matchmade games. The “Play 1 Game” Daily Challenge is worth 50 XP each. The Challenge deck is also being updated to better serve players of all skill levels. (1/4)
The #HaloInfinite team has also resolved issues with the following Challenges which were causing progress to not be tracked: Heat of the Moment, It Bears Repeating, Jorge Would Be Proud, and Ultra Tech. (2/4)
Additionally, XP Boosts will now last for 1 hour rather than 30 minutes. The in-game tooltip may continue to show 30 minutes as their expected duration, but the Boost’s timer will start from 60 minutes once activated. (3/4)
As a result of these changes, all progress on active Daily and Weekly Challenges will need to be reset, however, all players who sign-in between November 23-30 will receive this week’s Ultimate Reward: the Sigil Mark VII Visor. (4/4)
Community director Brian Jarrard noted that these changes are only the first, and appreciates the community feedback on Halo Infinite.
