Is Barry Keoghan The Joker in The Batman franchise? There has been a bit of Barside Buzz around this for weeks, but nothing concrete. This kinda all came to a head when Eric Keoghan, Barry’s brother posted on Facebook that his brother was playing The Joker and he was so happy about it. However, this post has since been deleted, though, it’s the internet, so if you search for it, you’ll find an archive for sure. Or, you could just look at this Reddit link Here?
Here’s the thing though. It is quite possible that Eric Keoghan was having a laugh at the expense of some of the outlets who had ran this rumor already? Batman fans seem unsure either way for now. Though some are convinced the fact the post was deleted is evidence it was genuine. We may now have another piece to add to the puzzle. According to insider ViewerAnon, Keoghan attended a test screening for The Batman last night.

However, we also have to remember that Keoghan is officially listed as being in the cast of The Batman. Just because he is in it, does not mean he is somehow playing Joker. However if insiders like ViewerAnon are hearing this is Joker, then so be it. You get the feeling if Keoghan is Joker then he’s only got a small role, but perhaps one that could fill out more in a sequel? The Batman is bound to get a part 2 at some point. I really doubt this film will struggle at the box office.
