The Arizona Coyotes announced on Thursday that defenseman Conor Timmins had successful knee surgery and is done for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

The 23-year-old Timmons was selected No. 32 overall in 2017 by the Colorado Avalanche and averaged 17:44 minutes of ice time in six games for the Coyotes this year.

Arizona also announced that 21-year-old prospect Liam Kirk of the Tucson Roadrunners will miss the rest of the year due to knee surgery.

The 21-year-old forward was drafted in the seventh round (No. 189 overall) in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Additionally, the Coyotes announced on Thursday that forward Ben McCartney has been assigned to the Roadrunners.

The 20-year-old McCartney made his NHL debut against the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 5 and played in Arizona’s first win of the year vs. the Seattle Kraken the following night in Glendale.

The Coyotes host the Columbus Blue Jackets at Gila River Arena on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
