New Features Added to Disney MagicMobile Service at Walt Disney World Resort

Disney continues to enhance the guest experience at Walt Disney World Resort, particularly when it comes to its My Disney Experience App and the Disney MagicMobile service. The Disney MagicMobile service allows guests to have contactless experiences through the parks utilizing their iPhones, Apple Watch or Google Pay enabled Android phones. This is very similar to how MagicBand’s are utilized.

Disney MagicMobile continues to get upgrades and enhancements as Disney strives to make the guest experience even more magical. Most recently, Disney has added the ability to purchase food and merchandise with Disney MagicMobile. New icons have also been created for the Disney MagicMobile pass.

To use the Disney MagicMobile service, guests first need to log into the My Disney Experience app and then link their park tickets and park reservations. Second, simply create a Disney MagicMobile pass. There will be multiple different options for what this can look like, including some featuring the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection from Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Once the Disney MagicMobile pass has been created, it can be found in Apple Wallet or Google Pay.

The Disney MagicMobile pass can be used to:

  • Enter theme parks (with a valid theme park reservation and valid admission)
  • Connect Disney PhotoPass images to an account
  • NEW: Charge food and merchandise purchases to the payment card on file at a guest’s Disney Resort hotel room during their stay
  • Enter attractions through the virtual queue or Lightning Lane entrance at the proper time if using Disney Genie+ or Lightning Lane

The Disney MagicMobile basically is an alternative to MagicBand. It can be used in place or alongside the MagicBand.

The Disney MagicMobile service can save time and allow guests to head right into the parks without delays. Quite often, when an iPhone or Apple Watch is held near the access point, Disney MagicMobile will automatically be brought up.
