Our favorite robot cat is back with another anime film! A trailer for the upcoming 41st Doraemon anime film was released on the movie’s official website. The trailer features the film’s theme song titled “Universe” performed by Official HiGE DANdism.

The film is titled Doraemon: Nobita's Little "Star Wars" 2021 and will feature new cast members. The trailer and the official website revealed that Junichi Suwabe will be voicing a man named Duracorul who aims to capture Doraemon and the others in the film. Romi Park will be voicing a tiny alien named Papi. Lastly, Yuuki Kaji will be voicing Pipi’s pet dog named Rokoroko.

Doraemon: Nobita's Little "Star Wars" 2021 is scheduled to premiere in Japan in March 4, 2022. Its premiere was delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The movie was intended to premiere during spring of this year.

This will be the 41st anime film of the Doraemon franchise and there’s seems to be no stopping. This upcoming film is actually a remake of the 1985 anime film of the same name. The original Doraemon: Nobita's Little "Star Wars" movie premiered in some selected theaters in Japan from November 23 to December 2, 1985.

Aside from the anime film, a Nintendo Switch game based on the anime film is also being made. Unfortunately, it’s release date is still unknown as of press of time. The official website for the game has not released an official release date.

The film is directed by Susumu Yamaguchi, who also worked as a key animation for the previous Doraemon anime films. Yamaguchi also was the unit director for the Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon Exploration anime film, as well as the director for Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. There is still no word if the film will be screened outside Japan soon.
