There’s only one Queen of Christmas worthy of a holiday special — and that’s Mariah Carey.
Christmas came a little early Thursday with a new trailer for “Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues,” which will premiere on AppleTV+ on Friday, Dec. 3. Full of holiday cheer, the special is complete with an ensemble of dancers and musicians to bring the Christmas spirit right to viewers’ living rooms.
The magical, virtual spectacular will feature the first and only performance of “Fall in Love at Christmas” featuring Khalid and Kirk Franklin, who will both appear in the special.
The multiple Grammy award winner will also perform a new rendition of the classic “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” along with her other hits like “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which broke Spotify records last year.
The long-awaited holiday special will also feature Carey spending quality time with her 10-year-old twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, as well as an exclusive interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.
Naturally, fans couldn’t hold back their holiday cheer after seeing Carey’s announcement on Twitter.
“The whole set looks incredible. I can’t wait to watch it,” tweeted one fan. “You’re the only person who can make us get into the festivities properly.”
“Waking up to this is the best feeling ever,” wrote another.
Carey did more than just perform for the streamed special; she also produced it, alongside Tim Case, Charleen Manca and Matthew Turke of Supply & Demand. It is directed by Joseph Kahn, a notable music video and film director, who also serves as an executive producer.
