F1 star Max Verstappen shares a mature take on his intense title race with Lewis Hamilton.

Despite qualifying for P2 at the start of the race, Verstappen was overtaken by Hamilton, who had the odds stacked against him as he started from P10 but won the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Typically, Brazil is Mercedes' strong suit, but Hamilton's remarkable drive surprised many F1 fans that weekend. The Dutch star seems to have a mature response to his loss, stressing that it's all part of the intense championship battle.

“Yeah, it’s hard racing, we are fighting for a championship. We are not here to be in a kindergarten.”

“I thought it was a great battle and I had a lot of fun as well out there.”

“As a driver, I think we know exactly what we can or cannot do in a car and we were fighting hard, braking late into the corner, the tires were quite worn. If I would have turned more abrupt to the left, you’d just spin off the track.”
Verstappen did not leave Brazil empty-handed due to his P2 finish, but Hamilton's win just nudges him closer to the dutchman in the standings.

“At the end of the day they [Hamilton and Mercedes] won the race, fair enough. They were faster than us. But I thought it was a good battle.”

With just three races to go, can Verstappen maintain his 14-point lead? Or, will Hamilton mount a terrific comeback, securing his eighth F1 title.
