F1 rising star George Russell makes a wild response to those betting against Lewis Hamilton amid his intense title race with Max Verstappen.

Hamilton put on a masterclass in Brazil, garnering another race win after starting from P10 due to his fresh engine's penalty. Despite Verstappen's start from P2 and Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas' pole position, Hamilton managed to rise above all with the odds stacked up against him.

However, with Verstappen leading in the standings, many continue to believe that Hamilton does not have a chance to win his eighth F1 title this season— triggering a reaction from Russell.

“I have been saying it for a long, long time when Max and Red Bull seemed to have the upper hand, you would be pretty stupid to bet against Lewis and Mercedes,” insisted Russell.

“Last weekend has proven that. The fact they are still in this fight is pretty exceptional and what Lewis did last week was also exceptional.”

Russell is set to join Hamilton in Mercedes next season after a handful of impressive performances this year with Williams Racing. Despite's Bottas' decent form, Toto Wolff has decided to move on from the Fin, investing in the future through a young star like Russell.

“Excited to be racing alongside Lewis next year. It will be a great opportunity for me.”

As of now, Verstappen is only up by 14 points with just three races to go, suggesting that fans will expect a cardiac finish for this year's F1 season. Who will emerge victoriously? Does Lewis have what it takes to mount a herculean comeback?
