What Time Will 'Battlefield 2042' Release on Xbox, PlayStation and PC

Battlefield 2042 launches on both console and PC on November 19, but fans are wondering what time specifically it will be ready to play.

After an early access period for EA Play members and those who ordered the special editions, Battlefield 2042 will soon be available to everybody across the globe.

The standard version of the game was originally slated for release on October 22, but was later delayed to November 19. This puts it in a bit of an awkward position, as it is now sandwiched between two other blockbuster competitors (namely Forza Horizon 5 and the multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite).

Battlefield 2042 hasn't been met with adoring praise either, particularly from those early access players. In fact, the PC version is currently sitting at an abysmal 2.4 user rating on Metacritic and has been panned for its various technical issues. Newsweek wasn't exactly blown away by the multiplayer shooter either, as we found that it was too massive for its own good and left you feeling nostalgic for older titles instead.

Nevertheless, people will be able to make up their own minds when the game releases in less than 24 hours. Speaking of which, here is the specific time that Battlefield 2042 will launch on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

'Battlefield 2042' Standard Edition Launch Time

While Battlefield 2042 is already available to those who were eligible for early access, most players will be experiencing it for the first time when the standard edition launches globally.

As per the official EA help page, the release schedule is the exact same as it was last week when the game hit early access. This is as follows:

  • For PC: 3 a.m. ET
  • For console: 12 a.m. ET.

If you are on PC, the game will unlock at 3 a.m. ET, which translates to midnight in PST.

Meanwhile, it will unlock on consoles — including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One — at 12 a.m. in your respective time zone.

As was the case with Forza Horizon 5, the game is already out in New Zealand and so you can get it now if you change your console's location setting to the appropriate region. More details on how to do this can be found here.

Otherwise, you can start preloading the game now on your respective platform, so that it's ready to go as soon it unlocks.
