Button’s notes
This meet had some pretty fast senior-level athletes!
Seeing 13/14 girls going sub-2:00 in the 200 free and guys swimming times like :57+ in the 100 breaststroke – outdoors – at this time of year was impressive.
Oliver was promoted to the ShAC National training group recently, so he’s training with the “big boys” when he can get up to the Aquatics Center.
He still managed a few best times in this meet, even in heavy training.
Julia’s last swim of the weekend was her best.
She held her pace really well in the mile and had a great swim with a big time drop.
Luke had come off a two-day high school meet, and he also saved his best for that last race.
Cook dropped 27 seconds to win his heat by just nine hundredths of a second.
Team travels to Rosenberg
We traveled to Rosenberg Tuesday, Nov. 9, for a tri-meet against Terry and Randle.
   All distances in yards.
Results and a photo of our BC swimmers of the meet attached.
Our small group - just four girls and four boys - managed to pull off a win in the combined scoring.
We were able to come out ahead in some close races.
We were also fortunate to have kids in other events our opponents were not as strong in.
Our boy swimmer of the meet was Chris Peralta (12).
He took a pair of wins in the 50 & 100 free.
Both races came right down to the last five yards.
Our girl swimmer of the meet was Victoria Sliva (9).
She had tremendous time drops in both the 200 and 500 free.
One of the most exciting races of the evening was our girls’ 200 free relay.
We led off with rookie Cali Morales, who split a lifetime best for us.
From there, we reeled in the Terry girls and took a come-from-behind win.
Our crowd gave them a standing ovation!
