If only New World factions offered more variety than just in their basic description

While it has its issues, and we all like to harp on about them, New World does have its good sides, as well. Devs have worked extensively on this update, and it can be seen in just how massive the scope is. One part of that update is the quests.

Amazon have updated several quests in the Main Storyline to improve the player experience with more compelling dynamics including wave encounters, destructible objects, and proximity tracking nodes. As a result of these changes, players may find their progress reset for some Main Storyline quests. The quests “Old Stone Remembers” and “New Initiate, Old Order” have undergone more extensive restructuring, and players who were on these quests will need to return to Yonas in Fisherman’s Bend to re-accept the quests.

Aside from the main storyline, New World now has some new PvP Faction missions, as well:

  • Control Points - Seize control of a Fort.
  • Intercept - Defeat enemy faction members and collect their tears.
  • War Camp Loot - Retrieve hidden plans at the enemy’s war camp.

For all of you that don't have a particular interest in walking large distances, Amazon have also updated the location of one of the Survivalist “Wolf Den” quests in First Light to reduce the amount of travel. The encounter design has also been updated to a wave event in all three starter zones.

Amazon Games All out war is expected to happen often in New World, but not daily

While updating quests is all well and good, we can't help but wonder if Amazon are too preoccupied with working on completing their game, to be able o see the issues actually plaguing it, such as widespread duping. Perhaps the game was a bit rushed, and the rumors of Amazon releasing it now due to other, rival, MMOs coming soon, are not unfounded.
