Brownstown Township Police said they have reached out to the families of at least nine students but they're not allowing authorities to speak with their kids.

Officials said they understand why parents don’t want their children involved, but if they don't receive accounts of what happened from the students, then what little information they have will be presented to the Wayne Country Prosecutor's Office.

The Nov. 9 fight was recorded by several students and posted on social media.

Police believe around seven people were involved in the fight, which led to two staff members being injured.

The school’s resource officer was assaulted by two students as she tried to break up the fight and was sent to the hospital. She returned to work the following day.

A lunch lady was the second individual to allegedly be injured.
