Sometimes when breaking down a game, the answer to the puzzle of who will come out on top is actually sitting in plain sight. The Chicago Bears are very bad at run defense and the Baltimore Ravens are the best in the league at running the ball. Sometimes it is that simple. In matchups featuring teams with these “skill-sets”, they usually favor the good running team–obviously. In the Ravens week 11 game this Sunday, that theory will be put to test in a huge way, and while we are not predicting complete disaster for either team, we do not expect this Ravens-Bears game to be the best game of the week by any standards.

Baltimore Ravens Week 11 Predictions

4. Lamar Jackson will run for 150 yards

With Lamar consistently getting the Ravens into field goal range–in fact, he will pass the 50-yard line at least 6 times in the game on Sunday– there will be plenty of opportunities for him to run for a new season-high. With a previous high watermark of 120 rushing yards, achieved just two weeks ago against the Minnesota Vikings, it is not like Jackson has an easy feat to accomplish if he is going to set a new season-high.

But, against this Bears defense that is giving up 123 yards per game on the ground, it is going to be an early “feast” for Lamar, a few days ahead of Thanksgiving. It will be a shock if Chicago can even hold him under 100 yards rushing. Lamar has averaged over 90 yards per game more through the air in 2021 than in 2020 and that opens up been more lanes for the explosive athlete.

3. Rashod Bateman will catch two touchdown passes

Speaking of those lanes, they are usually opened up by Ravens star receiver Marquise Brown, but with Brown nursing an injury this week, he may be just a decoy on the field if he is able to suit up. That will open up more playing time for the rookie Bateman, who many believe is going to take over as this team's number one receiver rather quickly.

If Brown does miss the game or is hobbled, Bateman can take advantage of a Bears secondary that has given up the high play at a much higher rate than in the past. With a lot of attention having to also be paid to Ravens' tight end Mark Andrews–especially in the red zone–Bateman should be in line for a huge game on Sunday.

2. The Bears will not score a touchdown

Getting to the other side of the ball, the Ravens have actually been plagued by the big play as well in 2021. Many of their touchdowns given up this year are from outside of the red zone. Chicago would normally be able to take advantage of that with rookie Justin Fields' great arm and with speedy wideouts Darnell Mooney and Allen Robinson getting past the burnable Ravens secondary, but alas, injuries creep their way into the NFL once again and both Mooney and Robinson are currently hurt.

Mooney was able to get in a limited practice on Wednesday and Robinson is expected to practice on Thursday, but still, if they are at less than full health, they will, not be able to take advantage of the one slight edge that their team might have. Because of this, we are projecting just three field goals by Chicago on Sunday for a total of just nine points.

1. The Ravens will win by seventeen

With Chicago projected to only score nine points, you math geniuses might have guessed by now that the Ravens will score 26 if we project them to win by 17. With six drives also past the 50 that we think they will get, that leaves four Justin Tucker field goals on the board as the remaining points for the Ravens.

You can take that as a fifth prediction if you want, for those of you playing in an archaic fantasy league that still use a kicker. Or if you are the gambling type and want to go to Vegas and make a kicker prop bet. Either way, we hope you enjoyed our four predictions for the Ravens game this weekend against the Chicago Bears.
