With the Miami Dolphins Week 11 matchup being against the New York Jets, we'll see an AFC East showdown between two of the worst teams in the league. Although Miami is coming off a big win over the Baltimore Ravens, they could carry that momentum into their next contest. We take a look at this Dolphins-Jets game with some of our Dolphins Week 11 predictions in mind.

Miami's defense was relentless in attacking Lamar Jackson. It felt like they blitzed on every play and it somehow worked. Joe Flacco is the starting quarterback for New York, so the Dolphins should consider utilizing a similar game plan against an immobile quarterback.

The offense has been hot and cold throughout the year. Miami can't seem to get into a consistent groove. However, things are looking up as they take on New York. Look for Myles Gaskin to have a major role while Mike Gesicki aims to bounce back. Additionally, Tua Tagovailoa could light up the field on Sunday. With that said, here are four bold Dolphins Week 11 predictions for their matchup against the Jets.

Dolphins Week 11 Predictions

4. Dolphins defense shuts down Joe Flacco

This defense is filled to the brim with confidence after demoralizing the Ravens in Week 10. Now, the Dolphins face off against a much lesser opponent. Joe Flacco is 100 years old (slight exaggeration) and is a sitting duck in the pocket every time he drops back to pass. Look for Miami's defense to take advantage of the Jets in this one.

3. Myles Gaskin explodes for 125+ rushing yards

One week he's on fire, the next he's ice cold. Myles Gaskin has been incredibly inconsistent this season. However, he draws a nice matchup in his favor against New York. The Dolphins need to get their run game going and this is a prime opportunity to smooth out the rushing attack.

We should see Gaskin get involved early and often. It's almost as if the Dolphins lost their identity from a year ago, as Myles Gaskin played a vital role in the team's success. The coaching staff should consider going back to what worked in 2020 and utilize their starting running back more often.

2. Mike Gesicki gets back on track, reels in 100 yards and 1 touchdown

Mike Gesicki was targeted seven times in Week 10 against the Ravens. However, that translated to zero receptions. At the very least, Gesicki was given multiple opportunities to shine but was unable to reel anything in. Look for Mike Gesicki to bounce back in a big way, as he's one of Tua Tagovailoa's favorite pass options.

1. Tua Tagovailoa rips the Jets apart with 250+ passing yards and 3 total touchdowns

Nobody knows why Tua Tagovailoa came off the bench the last two games, but here we are. He looked phenomenal filling in for Jacoby Brissett against the Ravens. So much so, Brian Flores decided to keep Tagovailoa on the field for the remainder of the game.

When healthy, Tagovailoa has looked like a competent starting quarterback. Although it's not translating to wins, the Dolphins should feel great about his development so far. Although this is a game between two bottom feeders, Tua Tagovailoa has a chance to prove his worth on Sunday.
