On Wednesday night, Chicago Blackhawks’ defenseman Seth Jones recorded his 300th career point. The 6-foot-4 blueliner didn’t have to wait long to notch the milestone, which came on a doorstep goal at the 15:03 mark of the first period.

An all-American connection helped Jones score his 300th point as fellow countrymen Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat provided the assists on the goal.

Jones now has 67 goals and 233 assists for his career. Following the milestone tally, Jones has two goals and 12 assists through 16 games in a Blackhawks uniform. His opening-period goal also extended his current point streak to seven games.

Wednesday’s game vs. Seattle was special for Seth Jones in more ways than one. In addition to reaching 300 career points, it also marks the first time he has played with his brother, Caleb, at the NHL level. The Blackhawks activated Caleb Jones from long-term injured reserve to make his Hawks’ regular-season debut in this contest, making this moment even sweeter for the Jones family.
