Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gave his honest take on his team's upcoming opponent in Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. Mahomes labeled Prescott a tremendous leader and praised the Cowboys' great team and great offense.

As per Jon Machota of The Athletic, Mahomes said on Prescott:

“He's a tremendous leader, he's been a starter in the league for a long time now, he's athletic, you can see that by the way he played in college and he can make a lot of big-time throws.”

Prescott is second in the NFL in terms of completion percentage at 70.3 and also leads the league's no. 1 offense in terms of yards and scoring. Mahomes, meanwhile, has led the Chiefs' resurgence and brought them back to first place in the AFC West. He leads the NFL in passing yards with 2,940 and is second in touchdown passes with 25.

While Mahomes' Chiefs enter the matchup ranked 1st in the AFC West, the Cowboys certainly pose a threat. Mahomes commented on his upcoming opponents, who are currently ranked 1st in the NFC East:

“They have a great offense over there, they have a great team over there. It will be a great challenge for us to go up against them this week.”

After a 41-14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in their previous game, the Chiefs will face a different test in the form of the Cowboys. Prescott and co. currently lead the league in scoring offense and are ranked 10th in scoring defense. With a 7-2 record, they provide a serious threat to the Chiefs' recent revival.

Despite being full of praise for his upcoming rivals, Patrick Mahomes will be hoping to lead the Chiefs to their fourth successive victory on Sunday against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
