Claressa Shields to Jake Paul: ‘You still suck at boxing’

Claressa Shields does not believe Jake Paul would dare enter the ring with her.

Shields, a two-time gold medalist boxer who has held world championships in three weight classes, spoke to Sports Illustrated this week and re-ignited her feud with the YouTube star.

“You don’t even have enough accomplishment to even say my name,” Shields said, “To even speak of me. You’ve never been to the Olympics. What did you make the Olympics on YouTube? That s–t don’t exist. That’s fake. When it comes to the real world of boxing, Jake Paul will never be no world champion. He can just keep picking his opponents.”

Shields was dismayed when Paul called her a “loser” with a “prima donna attitude” after Shields lost a split decision to Abigail Montes in an MMA match in October.

“Him coming at me, it made him feel better about himself,” Shields said. “You still suck at boxing. You still don’t have no accomplishments. You still wouldn’t dare get in the same ring with me, let alone spar. And, he’s just not even worth wasting my breath. The dude is pathetic.”

When Jake Paul previously called out Shields, she responded by calling him a “fake Eminem.”

Paul is undefeated as a professional boxer. He defeated former NBA player Nate Robinson with a vicious knockout in Nov. 2020. His last match was a split-decision win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in August, and he is scheduled to fight Tommy Fury in December on Showtime.

If Paul and Shields do ever fight, it’s a safe bet that a lot of people would buy it.
