OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- A new COVID-19 testing location in Oshkosh promises results within 24 hours.

Summit Clinical Laboratories says its clinic at 2135 S. Koeller St. offers PCR testing, which is more reliable than the rapid antigen testing.

There is no out-of-pocket cost to those who have had an exposure or potential exposure to someone with COVID-19, or is showing symptoms of COVID-19. In those cases, patients' insurance is billed.

Those who would like a test for another reason, such as travel, will be charged $100, the Medicare rate.

Those getting tested should have their ID and insurance cards with them.

For faster service, patients can pre-register online.

The testing location's hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
