PHOTOS: NEW Details on the Merchandise Coming to Disney World’s Star Wars Hotel

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (or the Star Wars hotel) is set to open in Disney World on March 1st, 2022.

It’s a much anticipated experience, with immersive elements, fun food, and ways you can really feel like you’re in the Star Wars world. Reservations are open for the hotel right now, but many dates are already sold out. We’ve been learning more and more about the experience for months, and we just got a first look at some of the merchandise coming to the ship!

The gift shop on the Galactic Starcruiser is called The Chandrila Collection, according to Nerdist. The Chandrila Star Line is the name of the cruise company that owns the Halcyon (the ship you’re on). All of the merchandise is in-universe, meaning you won’t find anything that says “Star Wars” on it. It’s supposed to feel completely immersive!

According to Nerdist, Brand Merchandising Vice President Brad Schoenberg said they were focused on 3 things for the merchandise: transformation and roleplay, a ship logo line that celebrates Chandrila Star Line and the Halcyon, and the ship experience. Senior Merchandiser Tracie Alt explained the pieces were inspired by Star Wars content as well as characters on the ship.

There are many costume options available, like the Togruta or Twi’lek lekku looks in adult or youth sizes, according to Nerdist. This black dress has a removable cowl, and you can style the piece several different ways. The olive green ensemble was inspired by a look from Bail Organa (Leia’s adoptive father) in the prequel movies. Disney actually went to the Lucasfilm Archives to scan the wrist gauntlets so they could replicate them.

A cloak was inspired by Padmé Amidala’s wardrobe, and the mechanics outfits are from the crew member uniforms. As you can see, there is also a youth Leia dress.

There is also a formal jewelry line, which incorporates the Chandrila Star Line logo.

And, there are other souvenirs you can bring home from the Starcruiser, too, like a ship model that has light-up cabin windows and engines.

You can also pick up things with the Chandrila Star Line logo like glassware, pins, and an ornament.

The merchandise does not have prices yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out more. And, as a reminder, that real lightsaber that the internet freaked out about will not be available to buy.
