Surviving the Aftermath has officially left Early Access and is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game tasks players to restore civilization to the end of the world. They can do a lot of things like explore, trade, develop, and expand into a new world full of risk.

The game is available at a retail price of $29.99. In addition, it’s been revealed that post-launch content is already being planned in the form of three expansions. To get ahead of everyone else, players can buy the Surviving the Aftermath Expansion Pass for $24.99.

Key features of the game are:

  • Build and Manage a Colony
    • Construct more than 130 buildings to survive a world filled with danger.
    • Be prepared since a natural disaster or environmental catastrophe can doom any ill-equipped settlement.
  • Recruit and Manage Specialists
    • There are at least 80 unique specialists to recruit, each one has its own skills and motivations.
    • Give your specialists gear to defend the colony from attacking bandits and rampaging wildlife.
  • Explore a Procedurally-Generated World
    • Send specialists outside the colony and into a procedurally-generated world.
    • Meet rival colony leaders to trade resources with or compete for survival.
  • Make Tough Choices
    • Surviving a post-apocalyptic world means making impossible decisions.
    • The colony’s fate depends on your judgment, and each choice you make can impact the happiness and future of the colony.
  • Discover the Truth
    • While exploring the world, specialists can stumble upon various mysteries.
    • Learn the secrets surrounding the apocalypse and prepare the colony for survival if such a thing should happen again.

In a statement, Iceflake Studios Game Director for Surviving the Aftermath Lasse Liljedahl shared that when they first launched the game into Early Access, they worked with the community especially for content updates. There have been changes but he said that they stayed true to their word and kept their original promises. He ended that they have plans to introduce more content so that everyone can enjoy playing the game for years to come.

So do you have what it takes to survive a post-apocalyptic world?
