Barcelona are in the middle of a revolution currently and Xavi, their newly appointed boss, is already planning to reinforce his massively underperforming attack.

The Barcelona boss understands that the goals have stopped coming in ever since the club talisman and legend, Lionel Messi left on a Bosman. The Argentine forward joined Paris Saint-Germain and it is clear that Barcelona were dependent on him all these years, when it came to racking up the goals.

Mundo Deportivo understands that Xavi is a fan of Dani Olmo and his Spanish teammate and City’s newest goal-scoring star, Ferran Torres.

Ferran Torres had been getting regular opportunities to showcase his impressive finishing skills for both Spain and Manchester City.

Torres though, sustained an injury on September 21, when City faced off against Wycombe Wanderers in a convincing 6-1 victory at the half-time.

Torres, when he sustained that knee injury, he was estimated to be out for at least three months and it remains to be seen when he will be making his on-field comeback for the Cityzens, now that there are no International matches left in the year.

It must be mentioned that Barcelona’s finances are currently in a mess and while there has been some significant improvement in the financial numbers of the former La Liga champions, it is unlikely that they will be able to land the signature of the former Valencia man.

Moreover, City’s valuation of Torres, who is just 21, is likely to startle the Catalan giants.

For Manchester City fans, rest assured that they will enjoy the services of the 21-year-old for seasons to come as Pep Guardiola seems to have found a consistent goal-scoring option in Ferran. Unless an unthinkable or a massive offer comes the way of the Cityzens’ I don’t see City offloading Torres anytime soon.

While MD can be considered as a reliable outlet, it must be remembered that Torres is only on the ‘wishlist’ of Xavi and there is no substantial proof to know that Barcelona are serious about the 21-year-old.
