A part of the video recording the construction process of the new theme port “Fantasy Springs” scheduled to open in 2023 will be released for the first time today!

”Fantasy Springs” is the eighth theme port of Tokyo DisneySea, which consists of three areas and a Disney hotel, and has a total development area of approximately 140,000 square meters, the largest since the opening of Tokyo DisneySea. In the video, you can see the entire construction site from an aerial perspective.

The three areas are based on the Disney movies “Frozen”, “Tangled” and “Peter Pan”, and attractive spaces such as attractions and restaurants invite guests to the world of their stories. However, the whole picture has not been clarified.

Therefore, in this video, we will release the video of the drone video taken by the route close to the completed image of “Fantasy Springs” for the first time on Tokyo Disney Resort official YouTube.

Below, you can check out the official drone footage:

Although we have seen many construction updates on the new addition, seeing it from an aerial view truly captures the expansive properties that this project has entailed. The new Fantasy Springs expansion will be massive, which will surely be a large pull for Guests to visit Tokyo DisneySea once it is open. It is set to open in 2023; however, that timeline may have been extended with the recent pandemic effects. From the video, we can still see a lot of work needs to be done in order to complete the expansion.

Disney Parks Blog also shared some amazing information in the past regarding this new land stating,

Fantasy Springs will include a Disney luxury/deluxe hotel and three separate areas, each dedicated to a different Walt Disney Animation Studios film: “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan.” Attractions, restaurants, and immersive spaces will lead guests into the world of each story.

The concept model you see in the videos is one-fiftieth of the actual size of the port. During the development process, Walt Disney Imagineering uses concept art, drawings, and models to plan out the arrangement and size of buildings and area development. The model is painted and shot from different angles to provide more concrete views of Fantasy Springs.

What do you think of the Fantasy Springs expansion coming to Tokyo Disney? Are you excited to see Arendelle: The World of Frozen and more complete?
