Saints Row has been delayed

Jim Boone, Chief Creative Officer at Volition recently tweeted out that Saints Row reboot has been delayed further into 2022. The game was originally supposed to launch in February 2022.

Some sad news are coming in from Twitter this morning as Volition officially announced that their reboot effort, Saints Row , has been considerably delayed. The action-adventure game was supposed to launch on February 25, 2022, but has been pushed back all the way into August 2022.

Volition's Jim Boone, Chief Creative Officer, tweeted out the news informing the fans that the new Saits Row game has been given a new release date: August 23, 2022. Boone added that the team is working to bring the fans the game they've set out to make and wouldn't be able to do just that if they were to honour the initial release date (February 25, 2022). The tweet further informs us that the time between now and August 2022 will be spent fine tuning the quality of the experience and generally polishing the reboot - no significant changes to the overall story will be made.

Saints Row fans on Twitter have had different reactions to the news: some are glad the dev team won't work overtime to deliver the game in February, some are still clamouring for a continuation of the story instead of a reboot while others lament Volition even announced the February release date in the first place.

Whenever Sainst Row ends up launching, the game will be available on PC PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
