Independence Center helps those with persistent mental illnesses

ST. LOUIS – The holidays are supposed to be a time of joy and happiness, but for people who are battling mental illness, it can be anything but. Now with less daylight and colder temperatures, it can trigger seasonal affective disorder.

Abby Berger from the Independence Center, a community-based rehabilitation center for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, explained how they can help people experiencing these issues.
