The Brooklyn Nets have recently lost to the Golden State Warriors getting beat 117-99. There's no doubt that the Brooklyn Nets have to improve, and while they are obviously a good team, there's clearly work that needs to be done.

Kevin Durant spoke after the game and claimed that "it's only going to get better" for the Brooklyn Nets. There's no doubt that this is a low point for the team, and hopefully, we see them bounce back from this bad loss.

We get better at it. We’re understanding the way we want to play on both ends — it’s a process and it takes a while. I like where we are — it’s only going to get better from here.

It’s all a part of the journey and it was a great test for us.

There's no doubt that the Brooklyn Nets will get better as the season goes on. They were missing Joe Harris, who is a knockdown shooter. Kevin Durant had a poor night as well, and it's clear that he won't shoot that badly every night. The Nets are still a top-tier team, and they have a lot of great, experienced veterans surrounding Kevin Durant and James Harden.

James Harden also had similar sentiments to Kevin Durant, and stated that the goal for the team is to be the "best team at the end of the season" and that they're "nowhere near" their goal.

We’re trying to get better every game. The goal is to be the best team at the end of the season and in the postseason. That’s the goal. We’re probably not. We’re probably nowhere near it. It’s a long season for us to get better and we’ll get better.

It remains to be seen how well the Nets will do throughout the rest of the season, but their stars seem to know that becoming a championship team is a process. Bad losses are inevitably going to happen on the way.

The Warriors-Nets game was a potential Finals preview, and there's no doubt that the Nets will have to improve to beat the Warriors, who look like the best team in the league. However, there's plenty of season left to play, and perhaps we'll see Kevin Durant and James Harden deliver.
