INDIANAPOLIS – Two months ago it was announced that the Colts would be the first team to appear in a season of “Hard Knocks In Season”. Colts fans will get an unprecedented behind the scenes glimpse into the weekly operation that an NFL team goes through preparing for gameday.
Hard Knocks Director and Senior Producer Steve Trout joined JMV to explain what viewers will see in the premiere episode Wednesday night:
“In the 1st episode we’ll be living in Week 9 leading up to the game vs Jacksonville. We’ll spend the first 5 minutes bringing viewers up to speed on how we got here but the majority of the episode will be leading up to Jacksonville and then the game.”
The Colts wouldn’t be featured in this new series without the approval of Jim Irsay. So how involved will the Colts owner be featured in the show?:
“He’s definitely in it. You see sides of him where it’s not the normal side of an Owner. This humanization we’re trying to do starts with the him. That cooperation and “forward thinking-ness” starts with the owner and trickles down throughout the organization so he will definitely be apart of this.”
The NFL world will have its eyes on the Colts Wednesday night. Let’s hope that going forward each episode will feature a Colts win and a charge into the playoffs.
