Kyle Kuzma is playing in only his first season for the Washington Wizards, so it's still easy for NBA fans to associate him with the Los Angeles Lakers.

After all, the young forward had plenty of highs and lows while donning the purple and gold. He won a championship in 2020 with the Lakers. Also, his on-court lowlights gave birth to thousands of memes throughout his four-year stint in Los Angeles.

So when word got out that the Lakers' homecourt will be changing its name from Staples Center to Crypto.com Arena, it's only fitting for Kuzma to give a reaction.

It's going to take a while before the new name naturally rolls off everyone's tongues. Staples Center is connected to one of the NBA's great dynasties when the Lakers ran roughshod over the competition during their three-peat run, as well as the time when Kobe Bryant won back-to-back titles alongside Pau Gasol.

On the other hand, the Lakers—and L.A. Clippers—will still be playing inside the same building. The banners and jerseys that account for one of the most storied, if not the most storied, franchises in all sports are still hanging proudly.  The team will still draw the same electric energy from the crowd.

The Lakers won't distract themselves from the name change, though. As of writing, the team owns an 8-7 win-loss record. Anthony Davis has repeatedly called out his team's poor play. Russell Westbrook has yet to find his rhythm.

Meanwhile, Kuzma is thriving in D.C. as the Wizards sit on top of the Eastern Conference standings.
