The commercial performance of ‘Bad Habits,’ the lead single from Ed Sheeran‘s latest album ‘=(Equals),’ continues to equal major Stateside success for the GRAMMY-winning Brit.

During its 18th week in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 (as we reported here), ‘Bad Habits’ was upgraded to Platinum status at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This means it’s sold the equivalence of 1 million copies in the United States alone.
The achievement marks the 18th song of Sheeran’s career to be certified as high or higher and brings his cumulative Stateside digital single sales to 69 million, making him one of the best-selling artists of the digital era.
