Massachusetts reports 24 additional COVID-19 deaths and 1,848 new cases

Health officials in Massachusetts reported on Tuesday 24 additional COVID-19 deaths and 1,848 new cases.

The confirmed death toll rose to 18,806, according to new data from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The total number of confirmed cases is now 821,150.
Massachusetts also reported one additional probable COVID-19 death and 335 probable new COVID-19 cases.
In all, the state has recorded 408 probable COVID-19 deaths and 60,160 new cases.
DPH says there are currently 599 people currently hospitalized because of COVID-19.
Of those hospitalized, 124 are in the ICU and 63 are using ventilators.
The seven-day positivity rate is 2.61%. Three weeks ago that rate was 1.61%.
