Daily Debate: What Zelda Game Would You Like to See Remastered?

Sometimes as a Zelda lover, I feel like I am in a perpetually unending cycle with Nintendo that consists of me buying Zelda games as soon as they release, and then a few years later, being forced to buy them again when they are rereleased in glorified HD on the newest system. But strangely I’m okay with that.

With that being said, as much as I have loved remasters of some of my favorite games like Skyward Sword, The Wind Waker, and the adorable whimsicalness of the recent Link’s Awakening, there is one game I would love to see fully remastered for the Switch or even a future console.

To me, Ocarina of Time is the staple of the entire series. And although it’s been redone on the 3DS already, I would love to see it fully remastered in 4K or even 8K, complete with more content, more emotion from Link (who was very limited in his facial expressions on the Nintendo 64), and Hyrule shown in its full glory. This kind of remaster has always been what I have longed for, but who knows if it’ll ever happen! But you better believe I would be first in line if it did.

Other games I would love to see remastered are A Link Between Worlds, and also Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, which are hard to come by now that the 3DS is leaving us forever. But unfortunately all we can do is allow Nintendo to call the shots and throw new games and content at us like a T-shirt canon — it’s fine.
