Best Battlefield 2042 deals on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC

Battlefield 2042 is the latest game in the epic first-person shooter franchise from DICE and EA, and it's set for a full release on November 19, with players having early access from November 12 with the Gold and Ultimate Edition versions of the game.

This iteration of the game is multiplayer only and doesn't feature a single-player campaign – known for huge-scaled battles on massive maps, Battlefield 2042 won't be any different, with a player count of 128 per game on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, while it will be 64 on PS4 and Xbox One.

The futuristic combat will put you in dynamically-changing battlegrounds, with weather and natural disasters like sandstorms and tornadoes impacting maps as you play, which you can experience in-game mode All-Out Warfare that includes franchise staples Breakthrough and Conquest.

Other additions include Battlefield Portal, a community hub for player-made modes and content, and Hazard Zone, which splits players into teams in a co-op mode to fight AI.

You can choose to play as four classes in the game, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Recon, but you can play as different Specialists in each class that have their own unique ability, such as a wingsuit or healing pistol depending on who you play.

You'll be able to use the games cutting-edge arsenal of weapons and near-future vehicles like jets, helicopters and hovercrafts across the game's rotating seasons, which last three months, with the developers introducing new content regularly – each one will contain a free and paid-for Battle Pass with new content.
