Seashore is the third ship to join the cruise company's Seaside Class.

The 5,632-passenger MSC Seashore will begin sailing from PortMiami next week.

The newest ship from Fort Lauderdale-based MSC Cruises USA, a subsidiary of Geneva-based MSC Cruises, is scheduled to set sail Saturday for its first seven-day Caribbean voyage from South Florida.

Seashore is the third ship to join the cruise company's Seaside Class. Construction started in 2018 and Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri delivered the vessel in July.

Its onboard amenities include six swimming pools plus an infinity pool, a casino, five restaurants, 18 bars and lounges, 140,000 square feet of open deck space and the cruise line's largest MSC Yacht Club in 32,291 square feet of space.

MSC installed an onboard sanitation system called "Safe Air," which uses UV light to eliminate viruses and bacteria.

Seashore will deploy shore power, meaning its engines can be turned off as it calls at PortMiami to reduce the ship's emissions.

All passengers over 12 years old, including the fully vaccinated, will need to show proof of a negative Covid-19 tests taken no more than two days before departure before they can board Seashore.

Seashore's arrival in South Florida marks a big return to business for MSC Cruises USA, which halted its operations for 17 months in Florida until August due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the company has a $450 million terminal under construction at PortMiami, which is expected to be completed by 2023.

MSC Cruises has 19 ships in its fleet. Currently, 13 are fully operational.
