Riot Forge has surprise launched turn-based RPG Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, set in the universe of its popular MOBA series.

The game is developed by Darksiders Genesis studio Airship Syndicate. You’ll be leading a party of popular Champions from the parent game; namely Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri and Pyke. Taking place in the world of Runeterra, you’ll be attempting to stop a threat against two of the world’s regions.

There’s the bustling port city of Bilgewater, home to smugglers, dock gangs and sea monster hunters. Then there’s also the Shadow Isles – an area covered in a nefarious Black Mist that corrupts all that touch it. The events of the game follow after the events of Burning Tides.

It’s a complete, standalone singleplayer adventure, originally announced back in November of last year. You can check out the trailer for Ruined King: A League of Legends story for yourself down below.

You can grab Ruined King: A League of Legends Story right now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. There’ll also be an Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 version in the future, with players of the previous gen able to upgrade for free.
