Yes, it happened again Sixers fans.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, The Philadelphia 76ers have fined Ben Simmons once more.

The 6’10”, three-time NBA All-Star missed few games recently due to his adamant hold-out. Last week, Ben missed six road games. The Philadelphia 76ers took it upon themselves to fine him $1.8M.

Yikes.

That would be $300K per game.

Luckily for the Australian, he is being paid $33M this year by the team he adores. Its only a sign of respect and admiration from the Sixers organization to resume fining him because they want him back so badly. For “Brotherly Love” purposes, of course.

Ben and his superstar agent Rich Paul, prior to the continuation of the fines, spoke with team officials stating that the fines were beginning to affect Ben’s mental health. Ben also spoke to teammates and team staff explaining that he isn’t mentally ready to play.

Teammates Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid have showed support for the recovery of his mental health struggles.

The Sixers did stop fining Ben because of the claim of his mental health struggles, but clearly they have resumed after Ben refused to meet with team doctors to go over the aforementioned issues.

Ben Simmons and The 76ers have made it very clear on where both parties stand. The hold-out will continue, but for how long will it rage on?

Do Sixers fans even care still? Let us know in the comment section.
