Kansas City Chiefs star safety Tyrann Mathieu has had enough of the slander going around Twitter about New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones. Matthieu took to Twitter to hilariously point out the sudden reversal of mood regarding Jones, who's getting steadier under center for the Patriots each passing week.

Matthieu also brought up an interesting observation about Mac Jones haters while subtly referencing the flashy types of quarterbacks that everyone is going crazy for every time.

Matthieu did not mention any name, but side arm throws? He's definitely familiar with one of the quarterbacks who make that kind of lobs, as he's a teammate of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. And yes, Jones isn't one you'd pay to see make SportsCenter-esque plays or burn rubber with insane speed on the field like a Lamar Jackson or a Kyler Murray, but he's been effective for the Patriots, which is all Mathieu is looking for in a quarterback.

Even though Jones is from Alabama and Mathieu played for LSU before turning pro in 2013, he's obviously not letting that SEC rivalry keep him from appreciating what the Pats' first-year quarterback is doing under center for a storied franchise.

On the season. Jones has passed for 2,333 yards and 13 touchdowns with seven interceptions. The jury might still be out for Jones, but he's trending in the right direction, thus far.
