The Stars had higher expectations after a seemingly revitalized roster after a COVID-riddled 2020-21 season. However, they just have not been able to find their footing out of the gate, and been at or below .500 through their first 13 games of the regular season. They did earn a respectable win on Saturday night, as they knocked off the surging Philadelphia Flyers on home ice.
This will the be the first of two meetings this season, after meeting eight times during the realignment caused the pandemic. with the Stars taking the series by winning six of those contests, three of which by overtime or shootout.
