Hilaria Baldwin Urges Followers To 'Be Kind' After Husband Alec Baldwin's Accidental 'Rust' Shooting: 'You Have No Idea What People Are Going Through'
Hilaria Baldwin has an important message to share.
In the wake of her husband Alec Baldwin’s involvement in the fatal shooting that took place on the Rust film set last month, his wife is asking her followers to prioritize kindness.
On Monday, November 15, the 37-year-old posted a series of cryptic messages to her Instagram story, including one quote about depression.
“People don’t fake depression...they fake being okay. Remember that. Be kind,” the quote read. Hiliaria added her own words to the image, writing: “Always be kind you have no idea what people are going through.”
She followed up her post with another message about “finding peace” amid chaos in a quote by Stephanie Bennett-Henry.
“In searching for peace, I had to lay down my own chaos, learn to be at peace with myself and walk away from anything that failed to align with my peaceful vibe,” the post read. “To find peace, become the peace. No matter what.”
Hilaria’s messages come in the midst of the backlash directed toward her husband after the actor accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with a loaded prop gun late last month.

The 63-year-old actor and his wife recently pulled over on the side of the road in Manchester, Verm., to confront paparazzi who had been following them.
“She was my friend,” Alec said of Hutchins, who was only 42 years old at the time of her tragic death. “The day I arrived in Santa Fe, I took her to dinner with Joel [Souza] the director. We were a very very well-oiled crew shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened.”
Souza also suffered an injury to the shoulder after getting hit with the bullet that killed Hutchins.
“An ongoing effort to limit the use of firearms on film sets is something I’m extremely interested in,” Alec told the crowd during his confrontation with paps.
An investigation has since been launched into the actions of various staffers on the Rust set, including Alec, the assistant director David Halls and lead armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who all handled the weapon before the incident.
It is still unclear why the gun was loaded with live ammunition, as movie prop weapons are usually loaded with blank rounds, or “dummy” bullets.
Alec has already been hit with a lawsuit filed by the film’s gaffer, who alleged that the tragedy was caused by the actor’s “negligence.”
Meanwhile, Alec has reportedly been finding “comfort” in his family during this difficult time.
