Galaxy Z Flip 3 And Z Fold 3 Getting The Second One UI 4 Beta

Following the rollout of the One UI 4 beta for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Z Fold 3 last month, the company is now sending the second beta for these foldable smartphones. The firmware version “ZUKA” brings a bunch of new changes, including bug fixes.

The automatic Wi-Fi connection error appears to have been patched with this beta release. Additionally, Samsung is also fixing a bug that would make the screen non-functional when the refresh rate is set to 120Hz. Some issues with device reboot and screen freezing also appear to have been remedied by the Korean manufacturer with this second One UI 4 beta.

Starting with this new beta, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 users will find improvements to incoming text overlap on the cover screen, GIF settings, and widgets, as per TizenHelp (via). Samsung is also fixing some minor bugs with the Samsung Health and Camera apps.

The update is currently seeding to devices across South Korea, while the wider rollout could commence soon. It’s worth pointing out that the company’s One UI 4 beta is also operational in regions like the U.S., China, Germany, India, Poland, the UK.

Several Galaxy devices will get the update to Android 12 and One UI 4 over the coming months

Samsung is maintaining its reputation as one of the fastest providers of Android software updates among third-party OEMs. The company is second only to Google, which has first dibs on Android software updates for its Pixel lineup.

The company’s Android 12 update rollout roadmap leaked out earlier today, giving us a good idea of what to expect. The manufacturer already sent the stable Android 12 update to the Galaxy S21 lineup this week. But we now know when its other devices, including tablets, will receive the update.

Phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Z Fold 2, Z Flip 5G, the Galaxy S20 series, and the Galaxy Note 20 would get the update by the end of December 2021.

Meanwhile, phones like the Galaxy Fold 5G, Z Flip, Note 10/10+, Galaxy S20 FE, S10 series, Galaxy A52s 5G, A42 5G, and the Galaxy Quantum 2 will receive the update in January 2022. Tablets like the Galaxy Tab S7 and the S7+ will start seeing the update a month later.

Oddly, the company won’t roll out this update to any devices in March. However, it will recommence the rollout in April, going all the way through July. This means that devices like the Galaxy A21s, the Galaxy XCover 5, and the Galaxy M12 would have to wait until July 2022.
