Bobby Joe Compton, age 67, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 9:58 A.M. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Mercy Health Lourdes.

Bobby was born in Murray, Kentucky on Sunday, January 17, 1954 to James and Henry Etta Compton. Bobby was a graduate of Heath High School and went on to study music at Murray State University. As a route man, Bobby worked for RC Cola for 17 years before finally retiring as a Little Debbie distributor for McKee Foods Corporation. He was a member of Reidland Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He will be remembered for his great love for his children and grandchildren as well as his fondness for his dogs and grand dogs.

Mr. Compton is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Jo Henderson Compton; his two daughters, Jordyn Jones (Jayce) of Vincennes, Indiana and Kelli Jo Compton-Thweatt (Zach) of Calvert City, Kentucky; his two sons, Josh Compton (Melissa) and Andrew Harned (Amanda) both of Paducah; his sister, Ann Driver (Mike) of Mayfield, Kentucky; his two brothers, Jimmy Compton (Vicki) and Danny Compton (Sherri) both of Kevil, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Samson Jones, Jensen Thweatt, Brayden Leek-Hill, Bailee Hill, and Brynlie Robinson.

Mr. Compton was preceded in death by his parents, James Monroe Compton and Henry Etta Hendon Compton.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Steve Turner and Rev. Rob Ison officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 and from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 18, 2021.
