Predators at Maple Leafs projected goalies

Juuse Saros (7-4-1, 2.17 GAA, .927 SV%) vs. Jack Campbell (8-3-1, 1.82 GAA, .939 SV%, 2 SO)

Saros has been on fire with a 4-0-1 record, 1.79 GAA and .940 SV% in five starts in November. He hasn’t lost in regulation across his last seven starts dating back to Oct. 23 against the Jets in Winnipeg.

Campbell turned aside 30 of 31 shots in a 2-1 overtime win Friday against the Calgary Flames last time out. He has rattled off a 5-1-0 mark with a 1.32 GAA and .958 SV% with 2 shutouts in six November outings.

Predators at Maple Leafs odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Maple Leafs 3, Predators 1

Money line

The MAPLE LEAFS (-205) are a little on the expensive side, especially facing off against a Predators side which has been pretty hot lately. This is going to be a very competitive, low-scoring game with two red-hot goaltenders, but the home side will prevail in the end.

Against the spread

The MAPLE LEAFS -1.5 (+130) is worth a look, although don’t be surprised to win this wager late on an empty-net goal, as scores should be at a premium with Saros and Campbell holding down the crease.

Over/Under

The UNDER 5.5 (-105) is the best play on the board. Nashville has managed 2.9 goals per game, ranking just 19th in the NHL, while yielding just 2.6 goals per game to rank sixth. It’s all about forechecking, defense and goaltending for the Predators.

Toronto has also had a hard time lighting the lamp, going for just 2.7 goals per game, ranking 25th, while allowing only 2.6 goals per game to check in eighth in the league.
